About Us

The Tennessee Association of Federal Program Administrators (TAFPA) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization established in 2020. In fall 2019, charter members from federal programs offices in 16 districts from across the state worked collaboratively to establish TAFPA. 


The TAFPA officers for 2022-2024 are:

President - Dr. Mick Shuran, Manchester City

Vice President - Katie Ridgeway, Lawrence County

Secretary - Bridgett Carwile, Putnam County

Treasurer - Emily Hollingsworth, Robertson County

Ex Officio - Dr. Alyson Lerma


HISTORY

The charter members represented a wide variety of districts in terms of characteristics such as geographic location, student population size, and more. They communicated regularly to outline the parameters of the organization in order to meet the expressed needs of federal programs departments across Tennessee.   


In spring 2020, charter members submitted nominations for officers and voted to elect formally the roles of president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. 


The TAFPA elected 0fficers who served from 2020 through 2022 are:  

President - Renee Palakovic

Vice President - Dr. Alyson Lerma

Secretary - Bridgett Carwile 

Treasurer - Emily Hollingsworth
